‘DON’T LINGER OVER THE PERSONAL’

President Trump on Friday is set to welcome German Chancellor Merkel to the White House. (Watch Fox News and FoxNews.com for joint press conference at 1:20 PM ET.) The meeting is expected to be amicable, but the two have differed strongly in their opinions on key issues like trade, Putin and immigration. Merkel appeared to be one of Trump's favorite targets during his campaign, but an international policy expert said Merkel is a pro at handling potentially awkward meetings. He said in foreign policy “you don’t linger over the personal.”

Part 2 of the "Tucker Carlson Tonight" exclusive interview with President Trump aired Thursday night. Trump talked about what he does on his down time and how he is not satisfied with the recent unemployment numbers, despite the drop to 4.7 percent. (Watch Jennifer Griffin report live from the Pentagon at 11 AM ET on Fox News Channel on Trump's budget proposal.)

CONTROVERSIAL 'PIG' PAINTING

A federal judge is poised to issue a ruling any day in the controversial case of a painting hung at the U.S. Capitol depicting a police officer as a pig. Judge John D. Bates heard arguments Wednesday over whether the architect of the U.S. Capitol must rehang the painting deemed by some as offensive and “anti-police.”

Anti-aircraft missiles were launched early Friday from Syria into Israeli-controlled territory following a series of Israeli airstrikes in Syria, the Israeli military said. The military said its warplanes struck several targets in Syria and were back in Israeli-controlled airspace when several anti-aircraft missiles were launched from Syria toward the Israeli jets.
