Authorities in Oklahoma City were investigating an explosion that occurred outside a gas station Thursday.
Oklahoma City police said they received reports of an explosion at around 4 p.m. KOKH-TV reported that witnesses told police they saw someone put something into a trash can at the Shell gas station and then an explosion was heard.
Authorities believe the explosion was intentional.
The bomb squad was called to the area to assist in the investigation. Police had evacuated a two-block area around the gas station and asked residents to stay inside during their initial investigation.
