The 18-year-old shot and killed last month by a Chicago police officer during a chase was hit on the right side of his back, an autopsy showed.

The autopsy released Wednesday by the Cook County Medical Examiner's also determined that Paul O'Neal didn't have any drugs in his system when he was shot July 28 in a chase that was partially captured by police body cameras and dashcams.

Much of what the autopsy notes has been reported, but the report does shed some light on the chaotic scene.

O'Neal careened down the street in a stolen car as officers fired repeatedly at the vehicle before it crashed into a police cruiser and O'Neal ran.

The autopsy does not say those shots struck O'Neal, only one after he started running.
