Thousands of Unitarian Universalists are gathering in Columbus for the church's national General Assembly.

The Unitarian Universalist Association says more than 3,500 people from around the world are expected at the annual event, which runs Wednesday through Sunday at the Greater Columbus Convention Center.

Delegates are scheduled to vote Saturday on a resolution calling for divesting from companies with business tied to Israel's occupation of Palestinian territories.
