A 14-year-old girl who was wounded when authorities say an Uber driver opened fire in the Kalamazoo, Michigan, area has suffered a minor setback.

Gene Kopf spoke about his daughter, Abigail, during a Gun Safety Week event Monday. Abigail was shot in the head during the Feb. 20 shooting rampage that killed six people.

Kopf says Abigail has an infection that forced doctors to remove a plate covering part of her skull that is missing because of the shooting. She came home from the hospital last week.

Kopf says he's uncomfortable discussing gun control issues. But he says he feels the need to do so in the aftermath of his daughter's shooting.

Uber driver Jason Dalton is charged with murder and attempted murder in the apparently random attacks.
