A Texas woman is looking for a new home for her broken-in 8-year-old bison named Bullet.

Karen Schoeve, of Arglye, told WFAA-TV Thursday that Bullet is part of the family. Schoeve said on any given morning or afternoon you are likely to find Bullet walking down the hallway.

“She watches the fish tank for a while. She doesn’t mess up a thing, and walks around very neatly like she belongs in the house,” Schoeve added. “She has never gone to the bathroom (in the house) either.”

The family wanted to give the old bison a better retirement. They put up Craigslist ad to try and sell the bison, but as of early Saturday the ad had been removed.

Schoeve said a camp for autistic children is thinking about possibly buying Bullet, but no formal offer has been made.

It’s unclear what the going price for the 1,000-pound bison is.
