After a week-long disappearing act, Kellly Ripa returned to ABC morning show Live! to address what sent her off to begin with: her co-host Michael Strahan's unexpected announcement to move to Good Morning America.

By now you have heard the stories about the two hosts not getting along, about persistent backstage battles and sneaky network brass behaving badly. So all eyes were on Ripa to hear just what she had to say.

Not surprisingly, she opened with a joke, “Our long national nightmare is over. Please sit down,” she told her studio audience, “I’m going to be completely honest: I’m fairly certain that there are trained professional snipers with tranquilizer darts in case I drift too far off message."

Ripa then went on to deliver her message, a heartfelt and pitch-perfect explanation of the events that had transpired and how she felt about them. “So what transpired though over the course of a few days has been extraordinary in the sense that it started a much greater conversation about communication and consideration and most importantly, respect in workplace."

Well done Kelly!
