HAWTHORNE, Calif. – Los Angeles County authorities are searching for suspects in a car-to-car shooting that killed one man and left two other men wounded in the city of Hawthorne.
Sheriff's officials said the shooting happened shortly after 2 a.m. Sunday as the victims were returning from a church function in Torrance.
Their car stopped at a red light on Rosecrans Avenue when another vehicle pulled alongside and someone inside opened fire.
The driver was killed. Two male passengers were hospitalized in unknown condition. Another passenger, a woman, was uninjured.
Investigators have not identified a possible motive or released suspect descriptions.
