The trials for six officers charged in the death of Freddie Gray are scheduled to begin in May.

Courts system spokeswoman Terri Charles released the schedule Tuesday.

Officer Edward Nero will stand trial May 10, followed by Officer Caesar Goodson on June 6. Lt. Brian Rice will stand trial July 5, Officer Garrett Miller on July 27, Officer William Porter on Sept. 6 and finally Sgt. Alicia White on Oct. 13.

The officers are all charged with assault, misconduct in office and reckless endangerment. Rice, Porter, White and Goodson also face a manslaughter charge. Goodson faces the most serious charge: second-degree murder.

Gray died April 19, a week after his neck was broken in the back of a police van while he was handcuffed and shackled.
