Two pedestrians have been struck by a vehicle in Boston, including a woman who was apparently dragged nearly three miles and is near death.

A 56-year-old man and the 48-year-old woman were struck at about 2:15 a.m. Monday in the city's Chinatown neighborhood.

The man was found at the scene with injuries not considered life-threatening.

Police responded to the city's Dorchester section for reports of a pedestrian struck, and determined that the woman found there was the same woman who had been struck in Chinatown.

She was hospitalized with what state police called "most likely fatal" Injuries.

The Suffolk district attorney's office says 44-year old Xiao Ying Zhou, of Sandwich, is scheduled to be arraigned Monday on charges of leaving the scene. It's not clear if she has a lawyer.
