Debate drama!

Donald Trump says he is boycotting the Fox News GOP debate set for tomorrow night. We’ll talk to several guests about the excitement and what it could mean for the race for the White House.

Democrats also fighting over a possible debate. Hillary Clinton and Martin O’Malley agreed in principal to add another Dem debate, but Bernie Sanders says he has no plans to take part in the proposed debate right before the New Hampshire primary.

New Quinnipiac polling of likely caucus goers in Iowa shows Sanders leading Hillary 49 to 45%. A Fox News polls released this week though, show Hillary Clinton with a lead. It’s going to come down to who turns out their voters next Monday. It should be exciting.

Two dead and three injured in a shooting at a homeless camp in Seattle.

The leader behind the occupation of a federal wildlife preserve in Oregon has been arrested along with several others. Ammon Bundy and several followers were headed for a community meeting when they were stopped and arrested by the FBI. Three others arrested separately, and another man identified as an Arizona rancher was shot and killed by an officer.

The Fed is meeting today, and is expected to leave interest rates unchanged. The world economy has slowed substantially since the Fed raised rates at the last meeting six weeks ago. Stocks and oil look to open lower today.

An important panel is now suggesting women get screened for depression during pregnancy and after childbirth.

President Obama is calling for the rapid development of tests and treatments for the rapidly spreading Zika Virus. A Virginia resident who travelled has tested positive, and there are several cases now in Puerto Rico.
