Officials say three people have been killed and four others wounded when a gunman shot into a crowd after a basketball game in western New York.

The drive-by shooting happened late Wednesday outside the Boys and Girls Club in Rochester.

Officials have not yet released the names of the victims or the conditions of the injured.

A large crowd gathered near the scene of the shooting early Thursday. Emotions ran high as family and friends of the victims consoled each other.

Rochester Police Chief Michael Ciminelli says he's urging anyone in the community with information about the shooting to come forward. He says the investigation is a top priority.
