DETROIT – A lawyer for the family of a woman shot to death on a suburban Detroit porch says the homeowner should have dialed 911 before pulling the trigger.

Gerald Thurswell says police arrived within two minutes of when the Dearborn Heights man called 911 after shooting Renisha McBride.

Prosecutor Kym Worthy plans to announce Friday morning whether she'll seek charges against the homeowner in the Nov. 2 shooting.

An autopsy released this week ruled McBride died of a gunshot wound to her face. A toxicology report released Thursday showed she had alcohol and marijuana in her system.

The report provides some information about the circumstances of a shooting in which few details have been released.

But Thurswell said the report has no bearing on the case as far as he's concerned.
