Kentucky man fatally shoots self after opening fire on wife in office building, police say

A gunman fatally shot himself Tuesday morning after police say he opened fire on his wife inside her Ft. Thomas, Ky., office building, reported.

The wife, Alisha Waters, who was shot multiple times, is reportedly in grave condition at the University of Cincinnati Medical Center and was going through a divorce with the man.

"Witnesses are saying that [the shooter] parked around another office complex, ran after [the victim] and chased her into the building," Lieutenant Rich Whitford said. "That's where he caught up with her and shot her multiple times."

Waters works on the third floor of the office building as a receptionist. Police say she was attempting to get in the elevator when she was shot, reported.

Although she was barely conscious, Waters was able to identify the shooter as her estranged husband, the report said.

This building houses the offices of a CPA, a psychologist, a nursing business and a massage therapist.
Police are gathering witnesses and will question them at the police station. Everyone is out of the building.
