Police are checking a bomb threat reported at the student center at Duke University in Durham.

Duke spokesman Mike Schoenfeld said Durham police received an anonymous call early Tuesday and notified campus police.

Police evacuated the Bryan Center and are searching the building. Schoenfeld says nothing has been found and the building is expected to be declared safe soon.

He says only a few people were in the building when the threat was made.

Classes are being held as scheduled.

The school had sent email and text messages to faculty, staff and students telling them to avoid the area until the building is cleared.

There have been no injuries.
