A Fort Washakie man is under arrest after driving into the living room of a Lander apartment.

The Fremont County Sheriff's Office said that 31-year-old Michael Timbana crashed into the building Friday night after a deputy attempted to stop him. Two adults and two children were elsewhere in the apartment and weren't injured.

Before the crash, the sheriff's office said a deputy saw Timbana driving his 1993 Ford truck without headlights and witnessed him swerve into oncoming traffic. When the deputy tried to pull Timbana over, he allegedly sped up and hit two parked cars before crashing into the building.

The sheriff's office said Timbana had been drinking before the crash. Investigators are awaiting results of blood-alcohol tests.

He was in jail Monday and it wasn't immediately clear if he had a lawyer.
