Police hunt for suspects in series of attemped child abductions in New Jersey

Police are hunting for suspects after a series of attempted child abductions put parents in New Jersey communities on edge.

The fifth luring incident in two weeks happened early Monday, CBS New York reports, when a man tried to entice two Lyndhurst boys into his van with video games. Police are questioning a person of interest.

On Friday, Hawthorne police say a man grabbed a 13-year-old girl and dragged her a short distance outside of a soccer game.

Other abduction attempts have occurred in Maywood, Oradell and Hackensack, reports, and investigators have released sketches of potential suspects.

Police departments in the various cities have been coordinating with each other to find similarities in the cases. Investigators told CBS New York that they aren’t ruling out a disguise. The FBI has also been notified, reports.
