A winning ticket in the $337 million Powerball drawing has been sold in Michigan.

The winning numbers in the Wednesday night drawing were 6, 27, 46, 51, 56 and Powerball 21.

The Michigan Lottery says the ticket was sold a Sunoco gas station in Lapeer, about 45 miles north of Detroit. There was no immediate word about the identity of the buyer.

News trucks swarmed the gas station's parking lot, and workers told The Detroit Free Press that the winner, even for them, remains a mystery.

"I have no idea yet," Peter Odish, a clerk at the station told the paper. "I have no idea. Believe me. I'm just a worker over here."

The Michigan Lottery says his business will get a $50,000 bonus for selling the winning ticket.

Matthew Bradley works at a Mobile gas station about seven miles from where the winning ticket was sold. He told FoxNews.com that people who bought tickets at the winning station have been checking their tickets at his station to see if they’re the winner.

"I see a lot of depressed faces," he said. "They know that they came so close to the fortune."

Bradley, who works the morning shift, said whenever Powerball reaches the $300 million mark, he sees an uptick in buyers.

There was also a ticket sold in Nebraska that added the Power Play to win $2 million.

In addition to the jackpot-winning ticket, there were eight tickets that matched five of the winning numbers to win $1 million. Two of those tickets were sold in Indiana. The others were sold in Kansas, Kentucky, New Jersey, New Mexico, Pennsylvania and Virginia.
