ROCHESTER, N.Y. – Rochester Institute of Technology lifted an alert for a gunman on campus Friday.
"All Clear. #RIT Alert 'Shelter in place' advisory has been lifted," the university said on Twitter.
Local reports suggested a man with an umbrella was mistaken for an armed intruder.
