A man in Philadelphia says his 50-year-old wife was mauled to death Tuesday night by one of the couple’s five pit bulls, MyFoxPhilly.com reports.
The husband told police he arrived home and found the woman lying dead on the living room floor, The Philadelphia Inquirer reports. She reportedly suffered severe trauma to her head and face.
The case is being investigated as a homicide and the woman’s husband and another man were reportedly taken in for questioning.
The city’s medical examiner has yet to determine her cause of death.
