Leaping Shark Off Florida Beach Captured on Video

A photographer from the Orlando Sentinel filmed a spinner shark as it jumped into the air and back into the water Wednesday off the coast of New Smyrna Beach, Fla., as people surfed nearby.

“I didn’t even see the shark jump,” Jacob Langston, the photographer, told FoxNews.com. “But a surfer came up to me and said, “Hey man, did you see that?'"

The shark likely was searching for smaller fish in the area.

Langston noticed the shark’s acrobatics while he was editing portions of the video for a multimedia piece for the newspaper.

“It seems like the rest of the multimedia piece will be anticlimactic after this,” he quipped.
