UFC featherweight Artem Lobov wasnt able to back up his big talk at UFC Nashville on Saturday night but he still managed to make his good friend Conor McGregor proud of his performance.
Lobov lost a unanimous decision to Cub Swanson in front of a raucous crowd in Nashville but was able to hang around with the fourth-ranked featherweight in the world for the full five rounds despite entering the bout unranked and with a near-.500 professional record.
McGregor took to Instagram immediately after the decision was read to post a photo of the two Straight Blast Gym fighters and to congratulate his good friend and training partner.

That was a great fight. Proud of my brother Artem! What a ride it's been for the Russian Hammer. In a career filled with ups and downs he has never backed down from anything. Nothing but love and respect always my brother

The Russian may have taken the L on fight night but he absolutely took a step forward in his career and made his camp proud to call him a teammate.
