(STATS) - Eastern Washington senior Cooper Kupp set the NCAA Division I FCS career record for touchdown receptions with a third-quarter score at Washington State Saturday night in Pullman.

The 6-foot-2, 215-pound wide receiver's third TD catch of the game - a 7-yard pass from Gabe Gubrud with 10:34 left in the third quarter - pushed him to 59 in his career and past former New Hampshire great David Ball. The TD gave the No. 14 Eagles a 38-28 lead on the way to a 45-42 upset.

Kupp, who's been dominant against Pac-12 competition in his career, also caught a 75-yard touchdown in the second quarter and a 26-yard score earlier in the third quarter. He finished with 12 receptions for 206 yards.

The STATS 2015 FCS Offensive Player of the Year also is on pace to also set FCS career records for receptions and receiving yards.
