WAUKESHA, Wis. – University of Nebraska punter Sam Foltz and former Michigan State University punter Mike Sadler were killed in an automobile crash in Merton, Wis., late Saturday night.
Nebraska announced Foltz's passing, and the Lincoln Journal Star is reporting that Sadler was driving the car and was killed in the crash. Both were pronounced dead on the scene. LSU kicker Colby Delahoussaye was in the back seat and was injured but was treated for burns on his legs and with stitches and has been released from a local hospital, according to The Advocate of Baton Rouge, La.
The players reportedly were attending a weekend punting and kicking camp in Wales, Wis. Their car lost control on a wet road, according to police.
Foltz, a 22-year-old senior, was the Big Ten punter of the year in 2015, averaging 44.2 yards per punt. He also was on the Ray Guy award watch list this season as one of the best in the nation at his position and had been the Cornhuskers' punter in each of the past three years.

Sadler, 24, was the Spartans' punter from 2011-14 and ranked sixth in school history at 42.2 yards per punt. Michigan State coach Mark Dantonio confirmed Sadler's passing.
