Oregon advances to semifinal of the NCAA championship

NCAA champion Aaron Wise won the anchor match Tuesday to help Oregon rally past defending champion LSU and into the semifinals of the NCAA championship.

The Ducks trailed in all five matches at one point. They were up 2-1, with the fourth match in extra holes, when Wise beat Eric Ricard 3 and 2.

Oregon, the host school at Eugene Country Club, advanced to Tuesday afternoon's match against Illinois, a 4-1 winner over South Carolina.

Top-seeded Texas had no problem in beating Oklahoma 4-1. The Longhorns play the semifinal against Southern California, a 4-1 winner over Vanderbilt.
