CLEVELAND (AP) Browns coach Hue Jackson says the team is ''not anywhere close'' to making a decision on what it will do with the No. 2 overall pick in this year's draft.

The Browns will have a chance to select a top quarterback with California's Jared Goff and North Dakota State's Carson Wentz among the leading candidates. Jackson said both were impressive in their interviews with Cleveland at last week's NFL Combine in Indianapolis.

Jackson plans to attend the pro day workouts for both quarterbacks. Jackson would not declare either as the favorite to join the Browns, who have had 24 different starting quarterbacks since 1999.

With free agency opening next week, Jackson said the team is still hoping to re-sign three-time Pro Bowl center Alex Mack, who voided the final three years of his contract on Wednesday.

Jackson said the Browns would like to sign two or three starters in free agency.
