And then there were two. The race to recruit five-star New Jersey defensive tackle Rashan Gary has come down to Clemson and Michigan, according to a report by Scout.com on Monday.

He has, the family confirmed, trimmed his list to Clemson and Michigan. "As it stands right now, if signing day was (Tuesday), Rashan would go on and say he hasn't decided yet," said Gary's mom, Jennifer Coney.

The 6-foor-5, 293-pound Gary is the consensus No. 1 prospect in the country and just returned from his official visit to Clemson, where he was given a custom-made cake in the shape of an orange Tigers' jersey with the No. 3 on it.

Gary's mother, Jenifer Coney, raved about their visit to the Clemson campus.

"We loved it," Coney said. "I was able to see some family, and my nephew was able to come out and hang with Rashan during his official visit. I got to see the academic presentation, and remember, I didn't get to see everything when we were at Clemson because it was Easter weekend when we went and the whole staff was not there.

"But everyone was on hand. Clemson is a great school, and we really learned a lot about it."

Coney said that the Tigers' players and staff were quick to embrace her son.
