BARCELONA, Spain --

Kevin Gameiro scored an early opener before setting up a second goal to lead Sevilla to a 3-1 win over bottom-side Levante in the Spanish league on Sunday.

Sevilla's 10th straight league victory at Sanchez Pizjuan Stadium provisionally lifted it into fifth place, while Levante stayed two points from safety.

Gameiro scored less than a minute into the match when the France forward steered in Benoit Tremoulinas' cross.

Goalkeeper Diego Marino denied Gameiro a second goal before halftime, only for Gameiro to assist Vicente Iborra two minutes after the break.

Giuseppe Rossi scored his first goal since joining Levante last week in the 56th, but substitute Yevhen Konopylanka secured the points in the 76th with an unstoppable strike just under the bar.
