Lightweight contenders Michael Chiesa and Beneil Dariush are reportedly set to face one another at April 16's UFC on FOX card in Tampa. Both men are riding win streaks heading into this important match up.
TUF winner Chiesa has won his last two and four out of his last five, overall. Dariush has won five-straight fights. The winner of this bout would likely jump ahead considerably in the line for an eventual title shot.
Dariush last fought and won in August, over Michael Johnson. Chiesa last fought in December, scoring a submission over Jim Miller.
The UFC on FOX card has only had three fights set, but is already a stacked event. Former light heavyweight champions Rashad Evans and Mauricio "Shogun" Rua are tabbed to lock up.
Additionally, Tony Ferguson and Khabib Nurmagomedov are expected to meet to decide who deserves the next crack at the UFC lightweight title strap. We'll keep you posted as this card develops.
