Partizan Belgrade have been slammed for allowing their best young players to leave the club on the cheap as they battle to keep hold of another of their stars.
Former Partizan captain Albert Nadj, who became a coordinator at the club after retiring as a player, has hit out at the Serbian giants' handling of the exits of several prospects in recent years.
Matija Nastasic left Partizan for Fiorentina in 2011, while Lazar Markovic and Aleksandar Mitrovic were sold to Benfica and Anderlecht two years later.
Both Markovic and Mitrovic have since moved on to Liverpool and Newcastle and Nadj says the club are guilty of cashing in on their best assets too soon.
In an interview withBlic, he said: "Matija Nastasic left the club for one washing machine, without having played one match for Partizan A team!
"A man directly involved in his transfer told me how Nastasic's family was poor and one day their washing machine broke. So some agents took advantage of that, jumped in and took the kid under their custody.
"And no one in Partizan deals with these kind of things. It should be normal that the youth team coach knows the family situation of his players, rather than some agent!
"I have strong feeling youth coaches inform agents and managers when some big talent appears in their team before they tell that to club officials!"
