TAMPA BAY, Fla. -- The Tampa Bay Lightning have recalled goaltender Andrei Vasilevskiy from the Syracuse Crunch on Friday, vice president and general manager Steve Yzerman announced. In addition, Tampa Bay has reassigned goaltender Kristers Gudlevskis to the Crunch.

Vasilevskiy, 21, has appeared in 10 games with the Crunch this season, posting a 6-3-1 record with a 2.03 goals-against average and a .932 save percentage. He has also recorded one shutout. Vasilevskiy won his previous two games prior to being recalled, making 57 saves on 60 shots faced (.950).

The Tyumen, Russia, native has appeared in eight games with the Lightning this season, posting a 3-4-0 record with a .907 save percentage and a 2.94 goals-against average. He has played in 24 career NHL games, with a 10-9-1 record, a .914 save percentage and a 2.54 goals-against average.

Vasilevskiy was drafted by Tampa Bay in the first round, 19th overall, of the 2012 NHL draft.
