DePaul ran away in its only exhibition game of the season, defeating Division II Caldwell University (New Jersey), 82-52, on Saturday afternoon at McGrath-Phillips Arena.

Tommy Hamilton IV led the Blue Demons with a team-high 13 points and seven rebounds. Aaron Simpson provided a spark off the bench, adding 12 points and grabbing eight boards.

DePaul was without Myke Henry, as he was sidelined with a shoulder injury. Henry was second on the team in scoring last season at 12.0 points per game.

DePaul opens the regular season on Saturday against Western Michigan.
