Louis Smolka got more than the Dublin crowd's attention last week when he submitted hometown hero Patrick Holohan in a thrilling main event, via submission -- he also got that of Sergio Pettis, the brother of former lightweight champion Anthony Pettis.

UFC Tonight reports that Sergio wants to fight Smolka, according to his manager Abraham Kawa.

Pettis has won three out of his last four fights, and four out of his six total UFC fights. Over all, the 24-year-old Smolka is 4-1 in his UFC career, and has won three straight, with two of those coming by way of finish.

With his main event performance, long winning streak and penchant for finishing fights, Smolka may be shooting up the UFC's flyweight title contender ranks, fast. Pettis, long considered one of the most talented 125lb prospects in the world, may want to stop that momentum and prove that he's ready for the big time as well.

Though we have not heard from Smolka on this issue as of yet, FOX Sports is set to speak with the Hawaiian on Thursday, and we'll be sure to ask him what he thinks about Pettis' challenge, and much else.
