After letting go of Chase Coffman over the weekend to add depth at wide receiver in advance of Sunday's loss to the Atlanta Falcons, the Tennessee Titans re-signed the veteran tight end.
With wide receiver Harry Douglas out because of a rib injury, the Titans released Coffman on Saturday in order to bring up receiver Rico Richardson from the team's practice squad.

Monday, they swapped places again, as the Titans added Coffman back to the active roster.
According to the team's official website, head coach Ken Whisenhunt said the Titans hope place Richardson back on the practice squad if he clear waivers. Richardson recorded one catch for 30 yards in the loss to Falcons.
Coffman, a six-year veteran, has appeared in one game this season. He has four catches for 42 yards thus far.
