PHOENIX -- The Diamondbacks announced Monday that pitching coach Mike Harkey will not return for the 2016 season. Manager Chip Hale will be back for a second season, and the other coaches on Hale's staff -- Turner Ward, Glenn Sherlock, Dave McKay, Mark Grace, Mel Stottlemyre Jr., Andy Green and Ariel Prieto -- have been offered 2016 contracts.

Harkey served as pitching coach for two seasons.

Chief baseball officer Tony La Russa said no determination has been made on Harkey's replacement. Stottlemyre, the bullpen coach, is under consideration.
