Eric McClure released from hospital, diagnosed with concussion

Eric McClure was released from a hospital Sunday afternoon, following an incident during Saturday's XFINITY Series race at Kentucky Speedway.

The driver of the No. 24 Hefty Toyota backed into the outside wall with 20 laps left in the 300, causing heavy damage to the car. After climbing from the car, McClure rubbed the back of his head while walking to the ambulance with safety workers.

McClure was taken to an area hospital for further evaluation and was later admitted. He received CT scans of his head, neck, chest and abdomen, all of which were negative.
