Alabama backup kicker Gunnar Raborn has been arrested on a charge of driving under the influence of a controlled substance.

Tuscaloosa police arrested Raborn on Thursday. He was released on $1,000 bond.

Alabama coach Nick Saban suspended the sophomore indefinitely.

The Tuscaloosa News first reported the arrest.

Raborn started one game last season. He made 2 of 3 field goals and 9 of 10 extra points. He is the backup to Adam Griffith, who has struggled to start the season.

Griffith has made 1 of 5 field goals in three games, a 20-yarder against Mississippi.
