The St. Louis Blues and Columbus Blue Jackets split their squads and played each other twice Tuesday night, with each club winning its home game.

In St. Louis, Alex Steen's goal late in the second period led one Blues split squad to a 5-2 win over a Blue Jackets split squad.

Paul Stastny, Vladimir Tarasenko, Alex Pietrangelo and Spencer Asuchak also scored for St. Louis. Brian Elliott made eight saves in 20 minutes, while Pheonix Copley stopped 13 of the 14 shots he faced in 40 minutes.

Boone Jenner and Justin Falk scored for Columbus, while Curtis McElhinney stopped 31 shots.

In Columbus, Ohio, Sergei Bobrovsky stopped all 24 shots he faced in nearly 40 minutes to lead the other Blue Jackets split squad to a 3-1 win over the other St. Louis split squad.

Ryan Johansen, Sonny Milano and Gregory Campbell scored for the Blue Jackets. Anton Forsberg stopped 11 of the 12 shots he faced.

Dmitrij Jaskin scored St. Louis' lone goal. Starting goaltender Jake Allen made three saves in the first period, and Jordan Binnington stopped 13 shots the rest of the way.
