The Minnesota Twins will recall Southern League Most Valuable Player Max Kepler from Double-A Chattanooga, the club announced Monday night.
Kepler, a 22-year-old outfielder/first baseman from Berlin, has spent six seasons in the Twins' minor-league system. This year he was named league MVP after hitting .322 with 32 doubles, 13 triples, nine home runs, 71 RB and 76 runs scored in 112 games for the Lookouts.
The 6-foot-4, 205-pound Kepler will be in uniform for Tuesday's game against the Indians and will help Minnesota's playoff push.

The Twins also announced that Single-A Cedar Rapids Manager Jake Mauer will join the big-league coaching staff for the rest of the season.
