STUTTGART, Germany (AP) Stuttgart says its Australian goalkeeper Mitch Langerak needs surgery and will be out for another six to eight weeks.
Langerak joined Stuttgart from Borussia Dortmund in the Bundesliga off season but has not played for his new club after tearing muscles in his right thigh.
The Australian has developed a cyst behind his right knee that has to be removed surgically.
