This weekend marks the first of the year for Mizzou fall practice, which opened Thursday in Columbia. The Tigers have a couple of serious issues to address -- defensive line and finding some receivers for quarterback Maty Mauk -- as they try to make it three straight SEC East championships.

Running back Jerome Bettis, who enjoyed his greatest fame as a Steeler but started his career with the Rams, will be inducted in the Pro Football Hall of Fame on Saturday in a class that includes Tim Brown, Charles Haley, Bill Polian, Junior Seau, Will Shields, Mick Tingelhoff and Ron Wolf.

MICHAEL SAM'S PRO DEBUT?

There are reports that former Mizzou defensive end Michael Sam, who has been practicing with the Montreal Alouettes of the Canadian Football League, could make his pro debut in a regular-season game this weekend.
