The Detroit Lions have re-signed Andre Fluellen.

The 28-year-old Fluellen fills the roster spot that became open after the team placed fellow defensive lineman Jason Jones on injured reserve. Jones ruptured his left patella tendon in Sunday's 27-20 win at Washington.

Fluellen spent his first four seasons with the Lions after being drafted by the club in 2008. Among the final roster cuts before the 2012 season, Fluellen played part of the campaign with Miami before rejoining Detroit in December.

The Florida State product spent training camp with the Lions, but was among the final cuts again.
