Aston Villa takes Dawkins on loan

Birmingham, England – Aston Villa revealed Thursday that it has taken midfielder Simon Dawkins on loan for the remainder of the season.

Dawkins is under contract with Tottenham but has enjoyed two loan spells in America with the San Jose Earthquakes.

The 25-year-old, who came up through the Spurs Academy, recorded 14 goals in 53 appearances with the 'Quakes.
