Manchester United midfielder Anderson is expected to be out for the next three weeks after sustaining a hamstring injury.

The Brazilian limped off the field at the Madejski Stadium in last Saturday's 4-3 win over Reading and had to be replaced at halftime.

Anderson has been in good form recently and has scored one goal and assisted on another in nine league appearances this season, but he will miss out on Sunday's table-topping clash with Manchester City.

Also likely to miss the game for United are fellow midfielders Antonio Valencia and Tom Cleverley, while City midfielder David Silva is also facing a fitness test.
