QUEBEC CITY – Belgium's Kirsten Flipkens advanced to the Bell Challenge final Saturday, beating third-seeded Mona Barthel of Germany 7-6 (6), 7-6 (3).

Flipkens will face eighth-seeded Lucie Hradecka of the Czech Republic, a 7-5, 7-6 (5) winner over French qualifier Kristina Mladenovic.

In the first round, Flipkens beat top-seeded Dominika Cibulkova of Slovakia.
