Toronto FC players Miguel Aceval, Luis Silva and Nick Soolsma were arrested for public intoxication and jailed early Monday after a fight outside a bar in Houston.

All three players were later released and have rejoined the team, according to a statement released by the Major League Soccer club.

"We are aware of the charges filed against Miguel Aceval, Luis Silva and Nick Soolsma in Houston," Toronto said in a statement. "The players are presently with the team and we continue to investigate this matter. As such, the team will not provide any further comment at this time."

Two of the players were reportedly involved in a fight in the parking lot of the bar, Club Escobar. Toronto is in Houston ahead of its match Wednesday at BBVA Compass Stadium against the Dynamo.

"At about 2:45 (Monday) morning, at Club Escobar ... there was a fight in the parking lot," said Houston Police Department spokeswoman Jodi Silva, according to the Houston Chronicle. "And officers who were working an extra job there attempted to break it up.

"So while they're trying to break this fight up our three suspects got belligerent with the officers and refused to leave."
