Tavares, Islanders top Flames

Uniondale, NY –  John Tavares scored the game-winning goal 1 win over the Calgary Flames at Nassau Coliseum.

Andrew MacDonald and Brian Rolston also scored for the Isles, while P.A. Parenteau added a pair of assists. Evgeni Nabokov was solid in net, making 29 saves in the win as New York stopped a three-game losing streak.

Tim Jackman netted the lone goal, while Miikka Kiprusoff made 31 saves for the Flames, who had their four-game winning streak halted.
