Mar. 4, 2017 Counter-Protest to March 4 Trump (Pro-Trump) Rally:

Summary: A March 4th Trump rally involved Trump supporters marching several blocks in Berkeley, California but supporters were met by a group of counter-demonstrators, and fights broke out.

Total Arrests: At least 10.

Arrest Descriptions & Breakdown: Resisting arrest (1), assault with a deadly weapon (4), including a dagger, battery (5). Among the other items police confiscated at the rally were metal pipes, bats and two-by-fours

Injuries: Approximately seven medical evaluations were made on the scene. None of the injured wanted to be taken to the hospital.

Damages: Unknown – media reporting does not indicate any property damage

Apr. 15, 2017 Protest Demanding Release of Trump Tax Returns:

Summary: A crowd of about 200 people were at a park in Berkeley when violence broke out during a rally demanding President Trump release his full IRS returns.

Total Arrests: 23

Description of Charges: Police said the charges include arrests for assault with a deadly weapon and several other felony assaults.

Total Injuries: 11, including one person who was stabbed, police said.

Damages: Unknown - media reporting does not indicate any property damage.
