Sean Hannity: Alt-left media wackier than anything Putin can come up with

The destroy Trump media are so desperate to smear and slander the president that they're sounding like Putin when pushing fake news conspiracy theories

Just as Secretary of State Rex Tillerson was ready to land in Moscow, Russian President Vladimir Putin ran with a wild claim that the United States is poised to fake a new chemical weapons attack in Syria to justify further military action by President Trump.

Sounds completely nuts, right? Yet, the alt-radical left, destroy-Trump media, has been pushing these same types of insane conspiracy theories.

“Wouldn't it be nice if it was just completely totally, absolutely impossible to suspect that Vladimir Putin orchestrated what happened in Syria this week so that his friend in the White House could have a big night with missiles and all of the praise he's picked up over the last 24 hours,” MSNBC’s Lawrence O’Donnell said last week. “Wouldn't it be so nice if you couldn't even in your wildest dreams imagine a scenario like that?”

“Wouldn't be great if we could go back to "Wag the Dog" being a … sitcom plot, you know?” replied O’Donnell’s colleague, Rachel Maddow.

And everyone at CNN as well as MSNBC seems convinced that Trump and Putin are somehow in cahoots. There is no evidence of this, and in fact Trump keeps proving he is the last man to carry water for Putin. But still they persist.

“I'll say it again, this Russian connection just keeps building,” said MSNBC’s Chris Matthews on March 22. “And every time it builds and expands, you have to wonder if Trump himself isn't worried about what's swirling around under the covers.”

Two days earlier, Anderson Cooper had similar fake news speculation.

“CNN has learned new details of the FBI investigation into potential links between individuals associated with the Trump campaign and the Russian government,” Cooper gushed.

It goes on and on. Crazy, kooky, fake news conspiracy theories spouted by the alt-left propaganda media. Cue the "Twilight Zone" theme. It's pathetic.

Democrats in Congress are doing the exact same thing. They're as nutty as their friends in the media. Rep. Seth Moulton, D-Mass., told my colleague Tucker Carlson that Trump’s decision to rain missiles on a Syrian air field, a decision that angered Putin, was all part of a diabolical plot.

“This could very well be interpreted as an attempt by the administration to get out from under the claim that they're colluding with Russia,” Moulton said, apparently unaware of how ridiculous he sounded.

What's clear is that the alt-radical left in this country is ignoring all truth and the facts. For months, they have been pushing - without one scintilla of evidence - this false narrative of President Trump colluding with the Russians.

Never mind that it goes against what former director of National Intelligence James Clapper, FBI Director James Comey and NSA Director Admiral Mike Rogers have all been saying. There is zero proof of Trump-Russia collusion in the election or since.

If the media wants to talk about interfering in an election, they should go back and focus on what the Obama administration tried to do to Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu in 2014. A congressional investigation determined that an Israeli political group used more than $300,000 in taxpayer funds from the Obama State Department to try to defeat Netanyahu.

I've been saying since 2008 that journalism is dead, but the partisan press is now taking it to a bizarre new low. They're suffering Trump derangement syndrome and are doing everything in their power to destroy him. CNN, MSNBC and others in the alt-left media are no longer even trying to appear to be objective journalists. They seem to think they have a more important mission: Undermining the will of American voters.
