Shake Shack is shaking up the menu in 2017.
This week, the the fast-food chain known for its signature ShackBurger and famous frozen custard, announced it's adding barbecue burgers and a new chicken sandwich next year.
The chain first introduced a fried chicken sandwich nationwide in January. Next year, chicken lovers will have multiple options including a “Barbecue Chick’n Shack” sandwich and in New York City, a “Salt & Pepper Honey Chick’n” sandwich.

The chain has also been working with award-winning chefs like Jamie Bisonette and Jon Shook to create limited edition sandwiches.
The newest chicken sandwich is scheduled for a limited release early next year. The chain says it will feature a crispy chicken breast covered in Shack barbecue sauce.
Shake Shack first found poultry success with their original “Chick’n Shack.” That item quickly became one of the chain's top three best selling items this year.

For burger fans, the chain is adding a “Barbecue Shackmeister" with marinated shallots and the chain's barbecue sauce.
Word of the chain’s plans to expand their menu came in a conference call with investors on Wednesday, according to Eater. During the call, restaurant executives also discussed an expansion of the chain's new mobile-order-and-pay app.
